From Sidewalk to Studio.

What started as a Sidewalk Session at People & Things came full circle this weekend as we took the track into a professional studio session at @sonic_acres in Reading.

Singer/songwriter ELJAY (@mylifeaslj), poet/songwriter Sir Dominique Jordan (@sirdominiquejordan), saxophonist Sanji Diaz (@sanjidiazz), and Wednesday (@worldwidewednesday) joined forces once again—this time recording with engineer Matthew Hughes to bring their collaborative song to life.

Moments like this show what happens when community, creativity, and opportunity connect.

As we count down to Take Up Space, which is just ONE WEEK AWAY, we had the privilege of sitting down with @ijahlassai to dive deep into her incredible journey over the past year. Last September, she released the single “The Potion,” which became a standout track on her debut EP, Her 🦋SZN, dropped just a couple of months later in November.

During our conversation, Lassai opened up about the personal meaning behind “The Potion” and shared the headspace she was in while creating the EP, a time of focused determination and clarity.

She also spoke candidly about her evolution as an artist, reflecting on how she wanted to authentically present herself to the world, embracing every facet of who she is.

Over the past year, Lassai has worn many hats, and one of our favorites has been seeing her step into the role of a facilitator for Ripple Creators Program. We couldn’t be more proud of the growth we've seen in her, both as an artist and as an individual we’re grateful we get to work with her so closely.

Mixing Christianity and creativity may not always be the easiest thing to do, but Jon makes it look effortless and tells the truth about his struggles.

🎙️ Sidewalk Sessions - Episode 1

Welcome to the very first episode of Sidewalk Sessions — where the sidewalk becomes the studio and the community becomes the creators.

In this episode, we hit the streets with our mobile studio and invited anyone walking by to jump in and help us make a song from scratch. No script. No pressure. Just raw creativity, collaboration, and vibes. 🎶

This series is all about breaking down barriers and proving that music lives in all of us — sometimes, it just takes a mic, a beat, and an open sidewalk to bring it out.

Welcome to the very first episode of Sidewalk Sessions — where the sidewalk becomes the studio and the community becomes the creators.

In this episode, we hit the streets with our mobile studio and invited anyone walking by to jump in and help us make a song from scratch. No script. No pressure. Just raw creativity, collaboration, and vibes. 🎶

This series is all about breaking down barriers and proving that music lives in all of us — sometimes, it just takes a mic, a beat, and an open sidewalk to bring it out.

It’s easy to get caught up in your environment, seeing the same people and same places everyday. So much so, that at times it’s easy to forget there is a whole world of people out there who live an entirely different life.

@alibikokamanda guided us through a day in the life in Sierra Leone - his hometown within the beautiful country of Africa - to give us a concept of how people live and interact compared to here in the United States.

Creatives must live to explore & explore to live. ✈️
